PREVENTIVE DENTISTRY

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride? What’s that? Fluoride is a natural mineral that aids in building strong and healthy teeth. In the same way that bones need calcium and phosphate to stay strong, fluoride helps keep your teeth healthy and cavity-free. Fluoride is usually applied in the form of varnish or gel, in order to prevent cavities and also stop early-stage cavities from getting worse.

Fissure Sealants

The biting surfaces of our back teeth (molars and premolars) are naturally prone to decay as they have many tiny grooves (also known as fissures) that tend to catch food debris and bacteria. Fissure sealants are a protective coating that seal off these grooves and make the biting surface smoother, meaning that food debris and bacteria are less likely to get stuck to the teeth. The smoother surface also makes brushing easier!

Brushing Education /With Disclosing Solution

While regular visits to the dentist are important, we strongly believe that good oral health starts at home, and that good tooth brushing habits are a cornerstone of a healthy mouth. But how do we know if our tooth brushing is “good”?

Dental plaque, the “dirt” we try to remove through brushing, is often difficult to see, especially on the back teeth. Plaque-disclosing solution is a dye that sticks to dental plaque and stains it purple, making it easy to see areas that are still dirty.
